Supplier Sustainability Policy

PPG's mission is to protect and beautify the world. We will partially attain this goal by sharpening our focus on sustainability. This approach will help ensure the success and long-term existence of our company for the benefit of our customers, employees, shareholders, communities and suppliers. We will act in a way that ensures the longevity and resilience of our environment, our economies and our society.

To reach this goal, PPG requires the full support of our global supplier base. We expect our suppliers, as well as their subcontractors, to fully comply with applicable laws and to adhere to internationally recognized environmental, social and corporate-governance standards. The PPG Global Code of Ethics and Global Supplier Code of Conduct  describe the required expectations.

PPG expects suppliers to evaluate and maintain sustainable processes and raw material sources throughout their supply chain and supplier base. PPG's preferred supplier criteria includes vendors that demonstrate world-class sustainability practices and marked improvements regarding their respective organization’s sustainability. PPG will foster and maintain a sustainability culture with our suppliers, encouraging suppliers to innovate and develop new products requiring less intensive material and energy consumption, along with leveraging their collective strengths to meet PPG’s sustainability goals.
